Hindi film composer Amit Trivedi, who is based in Mumbai; three acts from Delhi, progressive metal band Skyharbor, singer-songwriter Prateek Kuhad, and electronic music producer Komorebi aka Tarana Marwah; and Kochi-residing pop-rock band When Chai Met Toast will play this year’s edition of Red Bull Off The Roof, which will be held on Saturday, October 14 at the P. J. Hindu Gymkhana grounds on Marine Drive. As regular attendees would know, the annual concert organised by the energy drink maker is so named because the musicians perform atop a bus, the roof of which serves as the stage. During the rest of the year, this stage-on-wheels transports Indian independent music acts as they tour the country.

Like Nucleya, who topped the bill in 2016, this time’s headliner Trivedi could not finish his set at the rained-out 2015 instalment, which was cancelled mid-way after the venue, Richardson and Cruddas in Byculla, was flooded. Tickets for the 2017 concert, the fifth in the series, are priced at R500 per person and are being sold on For more information, see the Facebook event page.
