Girls Only: Festivelle Is A Festival By And For Women
A new festival aims to give women in the city a break from their routines. Put together by actors Shruti Seth and Gul Panag, Festivelle, which will take place on Saturday, December 17 and Sunday, December 18 at Juhu Hotel and is only for women, will feature talks, workshops and performances. The talks include ‘Lessons We Can Learn From Kim Kardashian’ with Panag, Malini Agarwal, who runs the Bollywood and lifestyle blog Miss Malini and writer Kiran Manral (on Saturday at noon); ‘Sisterhood: Cheaper than a Shrink’ with actors Maria Goretti and Mini Mathur and designer Jaya Misra (on Saturday at 5.45pm); and ‘Real Orgasms Are Our Birthright and We Shall Have Them’ with filmmaker Paromita Vohra, comedian Radhika Vaz and writer Shunali Shroff (on Sunday at 11.30am).
There will be performances by singer-songwriter and harpist Nush Lewis (on Saturday at 3.30pm); singer-songwriter Mali aka Maalavika Manoj (on Saturday at 6.30pm); Hindi pop-rock band Ankur Tewari and The Ghalat Family (on Saturday at 7.45pm); electro-pop duo Madboy/Mink (on Saturday at 9pm); stand-up comedian Radhika Vaz (on Sunday at 5pm); and singer-songwriter Prateek Kuhad (on Sunday at 7.30pm).
