New Confectioneries And Restaurants: Yoku Moku in Fort, The Bombay Thekka In Andheri

• Japanese confectionery brand Yoku Moku, best known for its butter cookies, will open its first Mumbai store in Fort on Saturday, August 12. The store will sell its range of cigar- and square- and rectangle-shaped cookies in flavours such as vanilla (Rs1,000 for a bag of ten cigars); milk chocolate (Rs1,100 for a bag of eight cigars; Rs2,000 for a box of 22 cookies); almond (Rs1,800 for a box of 26 cookies); white chocolate (Rs1,800 for a box of 22 cookies); and macadamia nuts with milk chocolate (Rs2,300 for a box of 16 cookies). • Multi-cuisine restaurant and bar The Bombay Thekka opened in Andheri West on Monday, July 24 in the same spot as Soho Tapas Bar, which was run by the same owners. On the menu are items such as chicken satay salad; wasabi prawns; pesto chicken risotto; minced lamb pizza; makai malai burger; and lamb steak with pepper jus. • A branch of burger chain Howra Burger, which has outposts in Bandra West and Lower Parel, opened in Malad three weeks ago. The burger menu features the VIP Shroom (chicken or paneer patty with spicy cocktail sauce and  sauteed mushroom); Shai Shai (chicken or paneer patty with BBQ sauce, spicy cocktail sauce and onion rings); Cheezus (mozzarella-stuffed chicken or paneer patty with cheese sauce); Breaking Bad (chicken patty with spicy cocktail sauce, chicken bacon, chicken sausage, chicken salami and a fried egg); and The Godfather (three buff patties with BBQ sauce, spicy cocktail sauce, mustard and caramelised onion, onion rings and a fried egg). CLOSING
• The Lower Parel branch of American casual-dining chain TGI Fridays, located inside Palladium mall in the Phoenix Mills compound, has shut. The restaurant inside R City Mall in Ghatkopar West is the sole remaining Mumbai outpost of the chain.
