New Pop-Up Shops And Stores: Krishna Mehta, Kulture Shop In Kala Ghoda
• City-based fashion designer Krishna Mehta has launched a pop-store at Kala Ghoda venue House of Tales, which will run until Sunday, December 3. Mehta has designed a capsule collection of clothing for women, men and children. The pop-up also features a range of accessories and home decor items. Among the goods on offer are furniture by Ajay Shah Design Studio, Rooshad Shroff and Essajees; jewellery by Roma Narsinghani, Malvika Vaswani and Sunayana Designs; candles by Ajay Anand Living; stationery by Rubberband; coffee table books from Design Book Studio; and international magazines from Paper Planes. The pop-up includes an in-house cafe set up by Aditi Dugar, who runs catering service Sage & Saffron and Mahalaxmi fine-dining restaurant Masque. The cafe, which serves a rotating menu, also sells packaged items such as salad dressings, bread, cookies and coffee by Blue Tokai. Until Sunday, December 3. Open daily, from 11am to 7pm. • Bandra design store Kulture Shop is slated to open in Kala Ghoda in the third week of September. Like the Bandra flagship, the two-level south Mumbai outpost will stock Kulture Shop’s in-house range of art prints, T-shirts, notebooks and home decor items by Indian graphic designers from around the globe, as well as a selection of design products sourced from across the country. A new collection of totes and pouches will be launched along with the Kala Ghoda store, which will include a sitting lounge on the mezzanine where customers can browse art and culture publications.
